TE Connectivity’s Energy business offers a wide range of reliable, cost-effective products for the electrical power industries including utility, electrical network, industrial and distribution industries. TE Energy manufactures Low, Medium and High Voltage solutions including Cable Accessories, Connectors & Fittings Insulators, Wildlife Asset Protection, and Surge Arresters.

TE Energy is seeking a Regional Product Manager for Arresters & Insulators to cover the Americas region. This position will report to the Arresters & Insulators Global Product Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and Commercial leader for Arresters & Insulators product line, life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities covering the Americas region

  • Derive market and customer requirements to the products in the Americas region

  • Analyze market trends, voice of customer, competitors to develop business plans and Go To Market for the Americas region specific products

  • Define new products, leads new product introductions in the Americas region and launch on time, supports new account acquisition

  • Manages product mix and price erosion

  • Define the Regional product road-maps and interacts with Regional Product Managers outside the Americas region as well as with the Global Product Manager

  • Define target costing, derives optimized pricing from the market and initiates cost out projects to improve profitability

  • Reduce obsolete inventory

  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers

  • Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, preferably Masters in Science Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in development/ project and product management experience in Arresters & Insulators

  • Knowledge of Spanish language, with intermediate level for reading and conversation.

  • Ability to communicate both in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to travel: this position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and South America

  • Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts

  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high paced environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both up and down the organization

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally and to influence across functions
